Leadership at Twin Churches of Holland Patent

Pastor Steve Vance began his church work after a 45-year business career.   Steve graduated from Utica Presbytery’s Lay Academy in 2019 and served as pulpit supply for local churches.  In spring 2021, he joined a team of three Pastors providing interim services to the Holland Patent church following the retirement of long-time Pastor, Rev. Susan Solomon.

Steve and his wife Joanne live in Lowville and have two married sons, 2 grandchildren and a grand dog. He is a past member of the Lewis County Community Services Board, the Village/Town of Lowville Planning Board and the First Presbyterian Church of Lowville’s Session.

Our church family welcomes his caring personality, sense of humor and spirit of community.  We are excited that he is sharing his faith, friendship, enthusiasm, and laughter to guide us into our future.
